I started testing software in 1993 when I was hired by Activision to test the game Return to Zork. After its successful launch, I stayed on with Activision, but instead of following the typical video game career path and becoming a producer, artist, or developer, I discovered an affinity for breaking things (much to the dismay of the developers there). That, coupled with the skeptical nature I inherited from my father, who was a research biochemist, led me to stay in testing.
